Working through the process

An initial consultation with us is free, during which you can outline what it is you want to achieve, a website, a campaign, a project that needs managing, a film, a logo… We will then provide you with a quote. Once a quote and timeline is agreed we can begin.

Thereafter, our process can be broken down into three stages: Plan, Design, Develop. Generally speaking, the larger the scope of the project, the more time will need to be spent at the planning stage.

At each stage in the development we will keep you informed of progress.

Plan

At this stage in the process we will find out as much as we can about your business, your market and your aims. We will spend time working out how we will achieve your aims. If the project involves a large amount of technical development, we will produce a technical requirements document. We will also source any technical staff that need to be brought in.

Design

Now we will produce drafts and/or sketches based on the research carried out in the planning stage. If we are designing a website for you, we will produce mock ups of what the site will look like. If it’s a film, we may produce a storyboard, or if budget allows, some test shots. You can either pick one of the designs in it’s entirety or you can choose different elements from each. You’ll then be shown a more detailed design and if you approve, we’ll begin the build. If you require further changes, we’ll go away and make them. The design process is an important one and we always work in collaboration with our clients; it’s the only way to get it right.

Development

We move onto the development process, for a website this is the actual build. For a print advert, the final high-resolution print ready artwork. While we try not to make too many changes during the build stage, we’ll keep you updated throughout so that you have a chance to view progress and feed back to us at every opportunity.  Lastly, we’ll test the final product before it’s released, where appropriate we can supply training and continuing support.
